Growing up in an artsy fishing town in South Central Alaska, Ireland Styvar had the best of all worlds. Regularly switching out pointe shoes for fishing boots and fishing boots for ski-boots gave Ireland a love for both self-expression and the outdoors.

Ireland brings her work-ethic, developed at her family’s setnet fishing site, to dance rehearsals. With a focus on mixing the beauty of wild emotion with the strength of solid technique, Ireland carries the spirit of Alaska’s rough grandeur with her to the studio and the stage.
